We started Shepherd and Stone to fill a gap in the building and design world. People had ideas but no clear way to get them on paper — or through permitting.
Our goal? Turn sketches, photos, and concepts into accurate, builder-ready plans that move projects forward. Whether you're renovating or starting from scratch, we help you design smarter from day one.

What services do you offer?
We provide drafting, interior design, and plan set preparation for residential and light commercial projects. That includes 2D plans, interior layouts, renderings, site plans, permit-ready sets, and more.
How do you communicate?
We keep things simple: email, file sharing, and scheduled Zoom or phone calls as needed.
What file types do I receive?
We typically deliver in PDF, DWG (AutoCAD), or JPG/PNG formats, depending on the service. You’ll always receive files that are easy to share with contractors or building departments.

What’s your turnaround time?
Typical turnaround for smaller projects is 5–7 business days. Larger packages and permit sets may take 10–14+ depending on complexity and revisions. Our service page provides more timelines based on the your project complexity. Rush options are available.
Can I request edits?
Yes, most services include 1–2 rounds of revisions. Additional changes beyond that may be billed hourly.
Do you offer on-call drafting?
Yes, we offer flexible drafting retainers for builders, designers, and busy teams. You can find those in our service page.
How does the process work?
Once you choose a service , we’ll review your project scope, ask for reference materials (photos, sketches, site info, etc.), and begin working. You’ll receive drafts for review & final files once approved.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, most projects require a 50% deposit up front, with the balance due upon final delivery.
Do you only work in certain states?
Nope! We work with clients nationwide. However, some states are easier than others. We currently have office locations in New York, Massachusetts, Texas, and Georgia.
I don’t see what I need. Can I request a custom project?
Absolutely!!! We regularly create custom packages for unique layouts, design needs, and builder requests. Just send us a message and we’ll quote you.
